That nostalgia, that longing for something that once was or should have been, resides in all of us, in my opinion. I am also writing a story for this exhibition. In it, a bird takes me along to places outside paradise, in search of life, silence, and meaning. The first three paintings are now finished. Ultimately, I want to make seven or eight.
