TREE OF LIFE

Here is a bit of my personal philosophy of life:

Maybe you know the story of the two trees in paradise, in the book of Genesis: the tree of knowledge of good and evil and, the tree of life. For me, they symbolize two ways in which I can navigate through life. I can gather knowledge about what is or is not good to do and thus try to find the way through judgment (tree of knowledge of good and evil). Or, I can try to listen to what the life that has come to live in my heart tells me about the path I may take (tree of life).
For most of my life I've tried that first way of living. I don't like it… at all. It's tiring to think about it all the time; what is wise, what is good, what is useful. In my case it leads to a path of toil. The second way is new to me, it intrigues me. How can I hear the voice of life in my heart?

I try to stop judging
and to listen to the voice of life.
