The human condition seems to move towards becoming a winner: the best, the biggest, the most beautiful, the richest, the most important. Survival of the fittest. The winner receives the applause, the medal, the fame. The heroes are the winners. The heavenly condition moves in complete opposit direction. The heroes are the ones who serve, help, provide informal care, do the dirty work.
With this painting I want to remind myself that I want to move along in that heavenly condition.
